Terms & Conditions


  • Our returns policy last 14 days from time of purchase.  After this period, unfortunately we cannot offer a refund or exchange. We are able to offer a credit note after 14 days until a maximum of 90 days.

  • Please check items on receipt of delivery.  if there are any defects with the delivery, you must notify us within 48 hours with photos of the home decor item purchased and any damages/defects. We try our best to ensure that items arrive in perfect condition, but unfortunately damages do sometimes happen.

  • Please do not fix or install any goods that appear damaged. If you use the goods, you have deemed to have accepted them.

  • All items must be returned in the same condition that it was received, in the original packaging and unused.

  • Items are to be returned to Room-86, 6 Ashbourne Court, 139 Whalley Road, Shuttleworth BL0 0DG

  • The buyer is responsible for any postage costs regarding the return of the item unless the item is deemed to be faulty.

  • Your use of any information or materials on this website is entirely at your own risk, for which we shall not be liable. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this website meet your specific requirements.



  • To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. 

  • Please contact us prior to returning the items with a reason for their return.

  • Once the return is received and inspected, we will send an email to notify you of the approval or rejection of the refund.  You are responsible for packing the return appropriately.  Any items which arrive back broken due to insufficient packaging will not be refunded.

  • Please obtain proof of postage of your return.  We are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit. If an item is damaged in transit when returned, you will need to claim from the shipping company so please ensure it is suitably insured.

  • If approved, the refund will be processed, and credit applied to your original method of payment. Only the cost of the item/s returned shall be refunded and will not include any original shipping costs paid unless the item is faulty or damaged.

  • We have the right to change the prices of items on the website at any time, any refund will be in accordance with the amount paid at the time.




  • Items can be exchanged only if defective or damaged. Please email contact@room-86.co.uk with a photo of the damaged/faulty item.  We can then discuss a replacement or refund.



  • We will deliver the goods to the address you specify for delivery in your order. It is important that this address is accurate. Any alterations to the delivery instructions may incur additional delivery fees if amendments can be made.

  • We cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions (unless this is caused by our negligence). We will aim to deliver the goods by the date quoted for delivery, but delivery times are not guaranteed. If delivery is delayed due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, the delivery date will be extended by a reasonable period and we will contact you to arrange an alternative time.

  • An item will only be deemed as lost in transit when confirmed by the courier and only then will we be able to issue a refund or send a replacement. This is after a period of time has passed after the item has been sent and differs between courier companies.

  • If you feel that you are local to Bury but your delivery address isn't showing as eligible for 'free Local Delivery' then please contact us and let us know. 

  • If you selected 'Local Delivery' as your preferred choice as you are within our local area then we will hand-deliver your items on the Saturday or Sunday that follows after you placed your order. This only does not apply if you have purchased a hand-crafted item AFTER the Wednesday of any week. Any orders for hand-crafted items will be delivered as usual if ordered before Wednesday of any given week. Any items purchased on Saturday/Sunday will be delivered the following week.

  • We will notify you when to expect your local delivery, if you are not going to be at home when we are due to deliver your item then please let us know a neighbour's address or a safe space to leave it. Please ensure that this is a secure location as we are not liable for any damage or left once delivered. Photos will be taken to show delivery to chosen safe space was adhered to.

  • Items that are on a pre-order will take longer to be delivered and will be clearly stated on the website.
